What camera to use? What codec? Hey what's a codec? What format? What recording media is best for me? Not to worry, we have the answers for you.
Today, technology is relentless, and it’s constantly changing the structure of the television production business. At the beginning of any project, producers face a dizzying number of options when choosing camera formats, recording media and editing systems. And the current trend indicates that in the future there will simply be more choices, more options, and more companies introducing the latest and greatest innovation or update.
That's why we currently provide seven, yes seven, different camera packages to our clients. From high end hi def to small format standard definition video, Elk Run Productions covers your production needs. When you call us, odds are, we have the camera you want for your next production. We offer the ability to record to tape, disc or SxS cards. And we have the editing capabilities to take your project from concept to completion.
Currently Elk Run Productions offers complete high definition acquisition with Panasonic's HDX-900 camera and Sony's F900/3 Cine Alta HDcam. The versatile HDX900 camera offers amazing images that can be captured in 1080i and 720p, as well as in 24p, 30p and 60p. And not many people know this camera can also record directly onto a P2 gear or external hard drive. Yep, it's capable of producing P2 files, so if the P2 workflow suits your needs, we can deliver in that format.
The Sony F900/3 CineAlta is simply the benchmark for great high definition images. With the largest imager possible, the F900 creates unparalleled pictures time after time. With a choice of these two remarkable cameras, you're high definition needs will be met and surpassed at Elk Run Productions.
And we complete our high definition packages with the highly versatile Sony EX-3 camcorder, a slightly smaller format camera with the ability to record XDCam files directly to capture cards. We offer the 2/3 inch lens adapter which allows us to use our regular hi def Canon lenses on the camera, enabling us to use a matte box as well. The camera package is well rounded, and we also offer it as a walkaway rental item.
Complimenting these cameras are a variety of high def accessories. We use the high def Canon 11 x 4.7 wide angle and the high def Canon 22x7.6 normal lenses with a Chrosziel two stage matte box. For your viewing pleasure and comfort, we offer the Panasonic 17 inch LCD monitor as well as the more mobile 8 inch Panasonic LCD monitor.
In the world of smaller format cameras, Elk Run Productions was one of the first to purchase the Sony HVR-V1U HDV 24p cameras. It's truly a remarkable camera in a very small package. Many clients are now requesting video elements shot in 24p mode, and this Sony camera will deliver 24p in both HDV, as well as in standard definition DVCam and DV modes. This camera is the answer to a lot of production questions.
It's a world of many formats, and we offer a complete range of cameras for your video projects. Beta SP is still alive and kicking, and we've found a number of corporate and broadcast entities still find it the format of choice. The Ikegami HL59W is still our beta SP work horse. It's a camera that offers the best analog images we've seen. And we also offer a full size DVCam, the Ikegami HL7W, which records in DV or DVCam in either 16x9 or 4x3.
It's an era of choices and options, and we've worked hard to provide leading edge solutions within your choice of video formats.
